Holiday days approved? Flight booked? Now you need to get on top of the vacation wardrobe to-dos. Tick T-shirts, swim shorts, sunglasses and a hat off your list – and make sure they’re the cool kind.
Classicists might want to consider the Warden, which shout simplicity thanks to their slim cut and muted blue shade. But jetting off is a good time to experiment a little, so maybe you’re looking for something a little more fun – especially if you already have a pair of classic swim shorts. Why not try the Tunis, with its playful crochet print and bold, bright colour, or the Sunrise Camouflage print, which makes a statement. Styles such as the Daisical Elasticated Waist Floral Swimshorts or Frequency Slim Fit Swim Shorts have another bonus: they take you from beach to bar without skipping a beat. You just need to add a Hawaiian shirt (more on that, below) and if you opt for the Roze floral-print short with its featured florals or Sunsmirk, peppered with an emoji design you could even consider the coordinating shirt for a complete look.
TO A TEE: T-SHIRTS
Filling your case with T-shirts is a no-brainer. But choose the right ones and you’ve got not just a case of T-shirts but a holiday wardrobe. Graphic styles shout style and are city-break essentials – look to the Underground, Orlando or Redact. Amp up the fashion factor with a sleeveless tank top, like the Access style, which is worn oversized – note that this is equally suitable for daytime exploring as it is for nights out. Wear with cargo shorts and sliders. More simple, slim-fit styles with a subtle Ramskull logo are at home from Formentera to Florida. The Brace Brushed Cotton style is an AllSaints icon, just pick one – or more – colours. The same applies for the Isac Oversized T-Shirt: simply crafted but with a premium finish, the oversized shape is just the right relaxed feel for time away.

Most frequently thought of as featuring a bold, exotic print (originally thanks to Hawaiian women in the 1920s and 1930s adapting Japanese kimono fabric for use in making shirts), you can now find this relaxed shape with an open collar (known as a camp collar) in a wide range of fabrications and finishes. You could opt for the Nevada Floral Print shirt for a soft take on a traditional exotic print, or for something super fresh, try a digital monochrome print as per the Frequency style. The way to wear? Open on top of a T-shirt looks great, or feel free to button up fully – it’s your call.
THE EXTRAS
No outfit is complete without the accessories, and nor is any suitcase packed without the finishing touches. Backpacks in leather or more lightweight fabrics will fit the bill from in-flight to sun lounger. Sliders are now a summer essential, whether you choose logo emblazoned, or western-detailed (the latter will do double duty for drinks after dark too). And while there’s clear purpose behind a baseball cap, there’s style points to be gained too. Investigate versions with small logos or leopard prints for an update.
